We′ve got another update to Easy Projects, and this is an exciting one! This update simplifies and speeds up the way you interact with your team using Easy Projects.
You can now post messages into your Easy Projects message board directly from your email inbox. All you need to do is reply to the email notification associated with that activity, and that message will be posted directly into your Collaboration Panel. This works with any email client, whether it′s Outlook or Gmail, and any email notification, whether it′s a message notification or an event notification (e.g. late, started, complete).
Here are some important things to keep in mind as you use this new feature:
- While you can reply from any notification email you get, make sure that you reply to the correct project or activity. You don′t want to send a message to the wrong conversation thread!
- Users can post-by-email even to activities they′re not assigned to, as long as they receive a notification about it (like if the project manager chooses to manually send the user a notification), and they′re a Project Member.
- Post-by-email only works with single notifications. Notification digests are not supported.
- Attachments are currently not supported. The text of any post-by-email message with an attachment will still be posted, but the attachments won′t be included.
