Project Deadline Notifications for Easy Projects

Howdy Folks!

I’d like to focus this month’s article on that one important word that we all live by and dread: deadline.  Deadlines are stressful to remember, but the most stressful element of deadlines are in fact, when you forget them altogether. Forgetting when a deadline is probably means you’ve also forgotten what work was needed to be accomplished by that date. When this happens  you’re scrambling trying to throw something together quickly, while silently cursing to yourself pulling out your hair muttering “why oh why, didn’t I remember this deadline?”

Well, how would you like to never forget a deadline again? Good, I can see I have your attention.

There are two things you can do within Easy Projects to ensure that you are reminded about important deadlines, before they are staring you in the face. Both are found in the My Options area. (To get to the My Options area, simply click on your name in the upper right hand side of the screen, then click Settings–>MyOptions–>Email Notifications).

1) Send me notification about activities due in ___ days

This setting allows the user to receive an email daily from the system about activities due in a certain number of days. The interval of days can be selected by the user on the screen. For example, if you select “5”, the system would e-mail you daily about activities due in the next 5 days.

2) Send lists of activities for the week ahead every ___ at ___

This setting allows the system to e-mail you a list of activities coming up that week. So, let’s say you start your work week at 9am on Monday. As soon as you sit down at your desk, you’ll have an e-mail about what is coming up for that week.

So, rather than having to manually search the system to find what deadlines are approaching, you can have them e-mailed to you daily/weekly. Saving you time, hassle and at least a few handfuls of hair.

Please let us know if you have any questions or suggestions for future articles.

Very best,
Al
